Who Is Apollo Night LA ‘Artist of the Week’ Angel Aleista RA?
Apollo Night LA (@ApolloNightLA)”Artist of the Week” Angel Aleista RA (@AleisterRa), started in the rock/metal local scene. Beginning with a band called Tied to the Wall later joining Severed Flesh, The Creepy‘s then finally Deranged by Nightfall. After all these different groups Angel finally decided to go solo in 2012 emerging with his single “Someway Somehow.”
He later became an eccentric rapper with a diverse style, recording many songs and passing out demos to anyone and everyone he came across. Angel’s grind has included giving every known artist he meets his CDs; from Ab-Soul, Rittz to Tech N9ne.
Finally, his time came when he hooked up with Stoner Jordan from OGMUSIC getting on this first distribution on an MLB tour mixtape, then going on his First National tour in 2015. Everything seemed to go uphill from there, going on 4 UGH HIP-HOP compilations, winning the Local Vocal Artist Awareness Award in Arizona and being a part of a nomination with the Underground Hustlin crew for best mixtape of the year for 2016.
2017 started off strong for Angel, having Collabed with Kung Fu Vampire, Bone$ the Spitta and going on his first headlining tour “The Spirit Trip,” and winning Artist of the Week at Apollo Night LA. These accomplishments seemed to have brightened his horizon for the future.
Angel took the time to weigh in with us as he keeps it moving in 2017 with some exciting developments for the young lion. The video for his single “God Sons” is good way to introduce this interview with a uniquely talented artist…If you are into the esoteric he may be akin to the famed Aleister Crowley.
From the outside looking in who is Aleista RA?
I’m a diverse, eccentric conscious rapper that is about bringing a positive message with a twist.
What brought you to the entertainment industry, music specifically?
Well, I’ve had a passion for making music but what draws my attention is, the power music has to influence the minds, and that’s my primary interest in being in the entertainment industry.
Tell us about your current project and your Apollo Night LA artist of the week winning single?
My latest project is a big show I’m doing for my homie Kung Fu Vampire that is going on his tour next month. My single that was on Apollo Night LA that I did with Crook C “Godsons” is very important to me because it has that message and sound that I want to introduce to the world thru my music.
For new listeners, what song would you pick as an introduction to you?
It would have to be “Godsons” because it has that dark style that I like and still has lyrics that can make you think and ultimately charge your life.
Last but not least, HYPE wants to know…. What’s your CRAZIEST ” where they do that at?!” Moment?
It would have to be my latest music video again “Godsons” because we drove all the way to Arizona to shoot it and did a lot of crazy shots in the desert and all over the state. Even using a drone to capture unique scenes.
