Chris Brown (@chrisbrown) connected with The Hype Magazine via “Our Man in LA,” HenGee Garcia (@OGHENGEE) of URBN 24/7 during the June 6th premiere of “Chris Brown: This Is My Life” a documentary film produced by Andrew Listermann and his Riveting Entertainment imprint. Riveting Entertainment and Fathom Events Bring Star-Studded Feature to the Big Screen
Grammy Award®-winning and multi-platinum recording artist Chris Brown debuted his documentary, “Chris Brown: Welcome To My Life,” on Tuesday, June 6 at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles. The feature film also hit movie theaters nationwide for a special one-night-only event last night on Thursday, June 8. The man of the hour, Chris Brown, arrived in great spirits holding his baby girl, Royalty, with his mother, Joyce Hawkins, closely behind. Just coming off a successful tour, the singer was all smiles, even making cute faces with his daughter, Royalty, on the carpet as he strolled with anticipation ready to share his life story. “I did this for the fans,” said Brown as he described why he created this project with Riveting Entertainment. “I wouldn’t be here if weren’t for Team Breezy.”
Also in attendance were long-time Brown supporters, hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs along with his sons Justin and Christian. Rapper Tyga, who appears in the movie, arrived just in time to catch the start of the film. “The ability to tell a story in a documentary form like this, allow yourself to be vulnerable and allow the world to see you, is very admirable,” said Terrence J as he welcomed guests and introduced the film. “It’s rare to meet someone with the level of talent he has.”
Attendees of the star-studded premiere also included Jhené Aiko, Terrence J (“The Perfect Match”), Justin Dior Combs (Son of Sean “Diddy” Combs, Rapper), Christian Combs (Son of Sean “Diddy” Combs, Rapper), Bill Bellamy (Actor), Woody McClain (“The New Edition Story”), Eric Bellinger (singer), Kid Ink (Hip-hop artist), Trevor Jackson (Singer / Actor), O.T. Genasis (“Hip-hop artist), K CAMP (Rapper), Nyjah Huston (Skateboarder) and many more.
Produced by Andrew Listermann and directed by Andrew Sandler, “Chris Brown: Welcome To My Life” features exclusive interviews with the international phenomenon and reveals long-awaited answers about his passion for the music, tumultuous and highly publicized relationships and the pitfalls of coming of age in the public eye. The full-length feature also includes brand new concert footage, behind-the-scenes access and special interviews from Usher, Jennifer Lopez, DJ Khaled, Mary J. Blige, Mike Tyson, Rita Ora, Jamie Foxx, Terrence Jenkins and more.
