Who is skateboarder, artist, model and influencer Stockz?

Stockz (@investinStockz) is one of the hot young artists from the SXSW 2017 schedule and his single “10” put the young , skateboarder, model, artist, entertainer on the fast track. Stockz is a mix of all that is good to be young.

We got Stockz to weigh in on a few things…tune in

From the outside looking in, who is Stockz?

Stockz is a skateboarder, an artist, a model, an influencer. Stockz is a good investment.

What brought you to the entertainment industry, music specifically?

I was making music in high school selling my mixtapes on campus making money and figured it might work out for me if I actually put in the effort and it’s been a lot of hard work and persistence since then.

What do you want people to get from your music?

I want people to get a feeling. I can’t say what i want them to get in an overall summary because a lot of my art differentiates and is going to mean something different to each individual.

Tell us about your current project.

Currently, I’m working with various producers like Bro Dini (@bro_dini), Ekzakt (@EkzaktXL), rené, Bizness Boi (@BiznessBoi) most recently. I’m working on an EP, but I don’t have a title yet.

For new listeners, what song of yours would you choose as an introduction to you as an artist?

Um.. Right now, I’d pick “10” produced by rené, or “Hit Ignore” produced by Ekzakt with additional vocals by Algee Smith.

Tell us a bit about your work and passions OUTSIDE of music…

Other than music I really like to skateboard. I haven’t skated in a long time, but when I was younger, I had a local sponsor so I still kick push here and there and I like real estate.

Last but not least, HYPE wants to know…What’s your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?!” aka WTF?! moment…

I live in downtown LA man; I see a lot of crazy *ish lol

I remember one time in Austin, TX at SXSW I was with Bro Dini on 6th Street and smelled something strange (sherm) and next thing we knew a dude was running up on us and fell to the curb and started having a seizure. The police/ambulance came and pulled him away. *ish was weird.

Bonus: The joint that caused the new buzz “10”
