Amine Debuts Album Good For You

Amine @heyamine has been En Vogue and hopeful since his  late 2014 EP.  Adam Amine Daniel is the 23 year old Portland, Oregon rapper, who went Triple Platinum with single “Caroline“.  The amicable rapper establishes a tone of experimental rap that focuses on reverse metaphors in popular culture. The resident hit-maker evolved from the college campus to a chart topper. As he finally released his debut album Good For You. Signed to Republic or Universal Music Group, miraculously this former Marketing student went from a laptop recording to extensive studio time.  “Caroline” evokes the spirit of Southern non-traditional rap such as Arrested Development or Outkast circa the 1990’s.  In 2014 Amine released Odyssey to Me, which he followed with Calling Brio in 2015.  The layers of joyful grooves and sounds on the album build the background for these rhythmic verses.  His excessive knowledge of pop culture could explain why he managed to create his own cult classic in the single, “Caroline.”  Even the next generation of hip hop can enjoy its radical baselines.  The catchy symphonic hook has been committed to everyone’s memory.  In the follow up single, RedMercedes, Amine cranked up with veteran Missy Elliot.  “Heebiejeebies” and “Wedding Crashers” have been documented as rap love ballads.

Amine is gleefully prepared in a world of first occurrences.  His first single, brought in his first wave of fame.  His first album brought in an interview in the Washington Post.  He may be the first of his kind, rare and diverse, yet a static musical talent.  Amine transcends racial and ethnic barriers to make universally accepted music– and it’s hip hop.  The cover art for the album is reminiscent of a scene from the hood cult classic Friday. The predominate color yellow.  Amine loves yellow expressing his passion for the hue in the song, “Yellow.”  He extends the love in his artwork, visuals, and often on twitter.  The album includes artist Nelly, Ty Dolla Sign, Offset, Kehlani, and Charlie Wilson.  Amine recently genuinely expressed on twitter, “I had to get Spice Girl approved by every Spice Girl.  Really didn’t think they would let me release it but they are the goals.  I wrote Hero in like 20 minutes and then GirlPool came in and added the funkiest guitar.”
