As you see yourself, who is Dktr N9ne?

DKTR N9NE is this creative energy of mine, with an unapologetic tone. It’s a medium for me to express all those things that people wouldn’t see by just looking at me. Full of wit, emotion, and audacity.

Tell us about your current project?

Crybaby: The Playlist. Its a playlist of the music I’ve released in the past few months. I produced half of it, and the other half is produced by Meltycanon and Haruhi. I’m currently working on my debut album “9 Times Outta 9” so I wanted to have an idea of how to place songs in a specific order to make it sound cohesive.

What’s on your bucket list to accomplish as an entertainer?

With a background in acting and comedy, I want to write/shoot a movie. I also want to produce my own comedy special.

Will you be finishing out 2017 on the road or what’s on your horizon for 2018?

I will have a few spot dates in the fall, in preparation for the tour we’re putting together for 2018, we want to do our most favored markets as well as a few festival shows. Most importantly, the focus is on Touring “9 Times Outta 9” beginning in January.

The Hype Magazine wants to know: What’s been your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?! Or “WTF?!” moment thus far in your career?

One time I was at The Grove in LA, I think I was going to the movies with my girlfriend at the time, I ran into Young Chop on the escalators. Ironically he was filming a day in the life piece. This was a little after “I Don’t Like” was at it’s peak, I was congratulating him on all the success, as I was leaving I asked him to grab a picture. He obliged, and the next day my phone was blowing up because his “Day in the life” was on Worldstar, and the only people in the video was Him, Chief Keef, 50 Cent, and me. So that was wild because people thought it was more than it really was. That’s when I learned how fake some people can be, all because they saw you standing next to someone with some notoriety.
