Five Questions with LogiKIL

LogiKIL, is an unsigned Hip Hop artist from Hartford, CT. His music represents the many challenges and blessings of life. In his music you will find jewels that will get you through; the good and the bad, along with the ugly and the beautiful.

As a sophomore in high school (age 16) is when LogiKIL decided on becoming a Hip Hop artist, (with some supportive insight from a high school creative writing substitute teacher, who told him that writing lyrics and music could take him wherever he wanted to go in life). Years later, LogiKIL has evolved as an artist. His lyrical style is extremely captivating and has been compared to Kool G Rap, Big Punisher and Eminem. LogiKIL is considered to be a hot topic in the CT and NY Hip Hop scene, hitting big stages including The Apollo and Times Square Art Center.

LogiKIL is a lead member of HeadKrack Entertainment, a group of 7 Connecticut artists who manage their own studio and whom are aspiring artists themselves. HeadKrack’s studio is also where LogiKIL fulfills his passion for engineering. In addition to putting in time in the studio for his personal career, he also records and engineers other local artists.

LogiKIL has a bachelors degree in Audio Engineering from the University of Hartford, which gives him a competitive edge in the field. He’s established himself as much needed asset to the music industry with amazing potential for 2017 and beyond.

The Hype Magazine asked LogiKIL to weigh in on a few items

As you see yourself, who is LogiKIL?

LogiKIL’s a psycho (ha ha). You know that thin line between genius and crazy? Yea, that’s where LogiKIL lives. LogiKIL is the person you want in your corner when sh** hits the fan, the emcee that murders every song, the savior that Hip Hop NEEDS.

Tell us about your current project?

My current project is dope, if I do say so myself. What I did with this one was stay true to ME. I only picked beats that spoke to my heart and gave me butterflies. As you may notice with my single “2 Shots”, sonically it’s reminiscent of the Golden Era, while the rhyme schemes and melodies are respectively current. “2 Shots” is basically a microcosm of the whole project. Hard hitting, up tempo beats, with bars, melodies, and messages attached.

What’s on your bucket list to accomplish as an entertainer?

A feature with Eminem. First and foremost . I don’t care if he’s 60 by the time we link up, Slim Shady and LogiKIL can only spell mayhem and destruction for any studio. Next up would be Nas, I would love to come up with a dope concept record with the DON.

After that, I want that stage pic man. You know that picture that’s shot from behind the entertainer, and all you see is their silhouette against the lights radiating from a jam packed colosseum? Yea, that. Just thinking of it gives me goosebumps.

Will you be finishing out 2017 on the road or what’s on your horizon for 2018?

That’s definitely the goal. Performing is my thing. To be able to emit the energy of my songs LIVE in person is so dope to me. 2018 is gonna be lit, TeamKIL has been contacted by some dope promoters out West, down South, and over seas, so yea, stay tuned, cuz LogiKIL will definitely be in a city near you!

The Hype Magazine wants to know: What’s been your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?! Or “WTF?!” moment thus far in your career?

Man, shout out to the DMV. I remember I did a show down in Maryland. The place was packed, the show was lit! Mad fan love and all that. So, after the show, we head back to the telly and what not, out of nowhere half the damn club shows up at our door. I was literally like “WTF?!” (HA HA) How the hell did they find me? I asked the crew, and no one gave out the address. I guess it was cool that they real life twittered me. But it took me back, like sun, ever heard of personal space? Anyway, we ended up turning the room into a hotel party, bottles were emptied, toilets were smashed, just a regular day in the life.
