Kirko Bangz Progression ’17

Kirko Bangz certified his current r&b rap status on Progression ’17. Raised in the same city Pimp C, made viable to the Southern lifestyle, Kirko lets his slang dialect and honesty dictate his musical creations.

The drank  infused raps of today would be nothing without Texas pioneers.  Houston Texas, a city of grinders; where the game never sleeps and the scene is a culture all its own.  In the current era the aesthetic of Screw-ston rap has been duplicated by artist like Drake and Asap Mob. Although a lot of it is experimental rap from the East Coast artist, the traditions within Texas rap remain popular. Slabs, Wood-Grain Wheels, Candy Paint, Vogues, and Drank all remixed to be chopped not slopped. The new life of the underground scene lies in veteran producer turned rapper, Cory Mo, and lyricist like Propain and Doughbeezy. As a certified microphone fiend, Kirko Bangz  has the ability to crush the scene. The influx of the elemental content brings the classic Texas rap genre, a new life. A plethora of artist rhyme circa ’96 or ’97 with a deep respect for O.G. Pimp C, example Le$ or Maxo Kream. The refreshing songwriting and southern slang of an authentic Houston rapper are rare. Rap assimilates, merging one coast with the next. The 3 rd Coast, Texas, has set rap trends for decades.  Now Kirko merges the new and old to make waves in both r&b and hip hop.

Sound M.O.B. the platinum production team of Houston’s DJ Ryu and Pyro did it again, laying the tracks for Kirko Bangz new mix-tape Progression ’17, aside Trakksounds, and Bizness Boi. Representing Houston better known as Screw-ston, Texas, Kirko Bangz melodically keeps trap flows in r&b alive. That gold chain, pinky ring, gold grill, Versace shirt swag is what Kirko brings to the forefront. A young rich baritone vibrato brings these heavily filtered beats real shine. Bangz takes you on a journey through liquor and women. Kirko Bangz takes from predecessors like Ginuwine and H-Town, to lace the ladies with a steady tempo and steamy lyrics. He plans to drop his sophomore studio album Soul Food in early 2018. Greatly known for his club banger, “Drank in My Cup,” this is Bangz eleventh mix-tape.  The highly underrated artist’s mindset includes the money and playa-made moves of a young Houstonian vocalist.

The ladies love Kirko Bangz and he loves them back. If you’re entertaining this will bless you with game in 2017. Kirko takes his vocals to the next level. He keeps the verses and hooks relevant to new era relationships, or life experiences. He brings in the new sauce motivated artistry to Texas music, and rap in general. Now with 300 Entertainment, Bangz has a promising career as a rapper or singer. His songs display pure talent; he manages to sing about lust, love and lavish life while still remaining trill.   Keep up with Sound M.O.B. at www.beatsbysoundmob.com.  Watch his first visual “Call Up on Drank” below.
