Moneybagg Yo New Visual “Important” from Mix-tape Federal 3X
Coming off the steam of mix-tapes 2 Federal and Heartless, CMG artist Moneybagg Yo, releases the studio mix-tape Federal 3X. Federal 3X has little to no features, solely using NBA Youngboy on track, “Reckless”. Aside from the critical beefs in the region, Yo Gotti reigns as the unofficial King of Memphis. Rising from the dust of a city project riddled with crime and violence, the content of the album appears to be Moneybagg’s definitive mantra, real life, and Cocaine Music Group. The rapper just cemented a new distribution deal with Interscope records. The rapper has a rowdy temperament in addressing real street problems. The Down South production of innovators like ATL’s own, 808 Mafia have crisp snares and hard sub-bass kicks. The octave the rapper rides out to on each beat is a consistent head knock formula. The trance of the tempo proves these various studio engineers were in the red zone. Yet still, this album has been highly awaited, as the rapper has gained a larger fan base in 2017.
Looking to make an imprint on the latest Southern Gangster Rap, with the Federal mix-tape series, Moneybagg has killer punchlines. As an artist he is gifted in wordplay. Gotti’s new artist, goes H.A.M., a clear vision of growing success. For Moneybagg Yo’s fanbase this album is certified heat in the streets. He gives the listener exactly 15 tracks to get the ears pumping. With a short tenure in rap music, Moneybagg is finally putting his stamp on Dirty South Rap. We all know Memphis is 3-6 Mafia’s turf, the influence of legends like DJ Paul and Project Pat shows in the production style, and verses. . In the spirit of Memphis rap, Moneybagg Yo continues to thrive. The Memphis Flyer recently pinned an article about the artist entitled Trap Revival merging the influence of Blues, Spirituality and Trap in Memphis. Expect an official release party on Sept 3rd in Memphis, TN, at a local venue.
