Jae Monique: Tell me about headlining TDOT FEST.
Peter Jackson: I’m very happy to be headlining the festival this year because the last two years have been headlined by a good friend of mine that I look up to–Karl Wolf. He’s been like a big brother to me in this industry, so it’s nice to follow in his footsteps in a few areas.
Jae Monique: What are the biggest inspirations for your music?
Jackson: My biggest inspirations definitely come from everyday life like my family and my kids. They make me want to create better music and work harder.
Jae Monique: What are your favorite singles that you’ve had so far?
Jackson: My favorite single is definitely going to be my last one that was called “On A Wave.” We had a lot of commercial success on the radio with that record cracking the top 30 on Billboard and in the top 30 on Canadian hit radio.
Jae Monique: Who are your favorite artists?
Jackson: Right now, Rie Mae, Tory Lanez, PNB Rock,
Jae Monique: How does it feel to be on Billboard Top 100?
Jackson: Amazing. This new Single has really taken things to new heights for me. I’m very pleased with the commercial success we’ve gathered this year so far, and I’m excited to say that my next single will be nothing short of the same.
Jae Monique: Anything else you would like me to know?
Jackson: I have a new single called “Vacation” coming out on August 21 that features the new princess of pop music in Canada, Chrissy Spratt. It was produced by Marley Waters who is responsible for some of the biggest records in radio for the last few years.
