Rittz Announces Last Call Album & Tour

Rittz is preparing for the September 29 release of Last Call, his fourth and final album on Tech N9ne’s Strange Music label. The Georgia rapper’s forthcoming set features some of the most personal and soul-bearing music of his career. Rittz is also set to embark on his headlining, “The Last Call Tour.” Slated for at least 60-stops, the tour is scheduled to kick off October 13 in Davenport, Iowa, and wrap December 17 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Rappers Sam Lachow and Eric Biddines are the tour’s supporting acts.

In this first part of a three-part behind-the-scenes video, released today, about the making of Last Call, Rittz gives his fans an inside look at his writing and recording process during the making of the album. Last week, Rittz dropped the audio for “Indestructible,”  a powerful song about persevering in the midst of personal chaos. Elsewhere on Last Call, the reflective “I’m Only Human” discusses dealing with the internal wars that rage within each of us. These songs have serious subject matter, yet they showcase how Rittz was able to overcome certain obstacles.

“I wanted to touch people, but I wanted them to take away something positive,” Rittz explains. “No matter what’s going on, whatever you’re going through, you’re going to overcome it. Through all of the darkness, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. A lot of the records have that theme to them.”

Since the 2013 release of his debut studio album, The Life and Times Of Jonny Valiant, Rittz has built a reputation as one of rap music’s best lyricists and stylistically superior artists. After touring the world and releasing projects with Strange Music, Last Call fulfills Rittz’s contract with the No. 1 rap label in the world.

“It’s definitely been a positive thing, a great experience with Strange Music,” Rittz says. “I learned so much from them. I’m just hoping to take what I learned from them, and all the fans, and everything they exposed me to and everything and take it further with me wherever it goes next. I definitely wanted to make sure on this last one I kept giving it my best.”
