Five Questions With Ray Moon

Ray Moon has been making her rounds as an official artist for major festivals like SXSW and AC3 in 2017 and music heads at The Huffington Post, HipHopDX and more have been keeping tabs on her growing movement.

Part of her official line describes this dynamo as “A small structure with a fearless attitude and lyrics that peer into the souls of many.” She’s right to be fearless, her sound, that husky smooth vibe that makes it easy to ride to.

Part of Moon’s official line describes her as, “A small structure with a fearless attitude and lyrics that peer into the souls of many.”

Moon’s breakout has been her single Creep “Visual Playlist” which showcases her lyrics AND creativity as an overall artist

The Hype Magazine got the rising entertainer to give us a bit of insight:

As you see yourself, who is Ray Moon?

Ray Moon Is not something I would describe, but if I had to put a finger on it, I would say DIFFERENT, Versatile, and unique. Nothing about Ray Moon Is familiar.

Tell us about your current project?

My current project is called “Thoughts Of Being Sober.” In my hard times and in my happy days, I celebrate by drinking. It helps me cope with things, even though it’s not a good go too. In the morning I always wished I didn’t drink as much, and I always do something dumb that I regret in the morning from drinking. Then the massive hangover hits me & it only makes me think about being sober again. In this EP, I share my relationship with you along with my life. I can’t wait for you guys to get to know Ray Moon.

What’s on your bucket list to accomplish as an entertainer?

So one of my goals just got checked off my list, after I heard myself on the radio for the very first time. (Laughs) I’m not going to mention all my goals, but I would say the main focus is getting heard worldwide.

Will you be finishing out 2017 on the road, or what’s on your horizon for 2018?

I honestly don’t know what’s in store, things happen so fast, I might be on the road or I might be locked up in the studio somewhere. Who knows ?! But I do know that I’ll be working either way it goes.

The Hype Magazine wants to know: What’s been your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?! Or “WTF?!” moment thus far in your career?

I was out at a club, just chilling, and having a couple of drinks with my friends, and this one girl comes ups to me and grabs my face and tried to kiss me. My friends then pushed her away from me and she ended up falling down the stairs. (Laughs) Luckily it was only 5 steps. It was so weird but it was a moment when I realize that people know who I am….But that’s not even the get ya got ya! After that, my face immediately started itching, and breaking out, and my cheeks got all bumpy and red/rashy for a couple days. I had an event to go to in New York that following day. It was wild. I appreciate my fans. I love you guys so much.
