Five Questions With Dalivaa

Darryl “Dalivaa” Warren Jr. started out his music inspirations at the young age of 15, started a rap group and began his future in music. Being a lyrical artist and producer who can play many musical instruments led him to the offices of Def Jam to present his music face to face with A&R’s and major recording artist. Spending years perfecting his craft of rapping and producing he is now a member and co-partner alongside Stacey Justice with Rekles Entertainment working with DJ’s and various artist in the game.

As you see yourself, who is Dalivaa?

My name is Dalivaa because that’s exactly what I do, deliver. I create pictures and movies in the form of words. I’ve always had a love for storytelling. I’m confident, humble and a visionary. But still, I’m just that quiet kid in his own zone looking at the worlds beauty and destruction.

Tell us about your current project?

Currently, I’m working on my Album called “It’s Time” meaning if I’m going to make a classic and make a name for myself as one of the best to do it then it’s time, and the time is now.

What’s on your bucket list to accomplish as an entertainer?

Going platinum and winning a Grammy was always my dream when I first started at the age of 15. Now it’s selling out arenas, being a music mogul and being on the Mount Rushmore of Hip-Hop.

Will you be finishing out 2017 on the road or what’s on your horizon for 2018?

I’m going to finish out 2017 focused and grinding on this project and grind out 2018 on the road promoting it.

The Hype Magazine wants to know: What’s been your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?! Or “WTF?!” moment thus far in your career?

Well, my WTF moment had to be when FUBU Records was a thing in the early 2000’s. I was in a group at that time one of the A&R’s came to one of our performances in my hometown Fayetteville, NC. Right before we got on stage a huge fight broke out and everyone got kicked out of the venue so I thought my chances of getting signed was over. Just so happened my mom invited him over for dinner and he accepted. We did a personal performance right in the living room and we killed it. After that, he called and said I have a choice to make between you guys and another group (I won’t name the group lol). So long story short he signed them to a million dollar deal because he felt we were too young and they flopped. The group got dropped, the A&R got fired and FUBU Records was no more. I knew they made a mistake for passing on me.
