As you see yourself, who is Lewy?

As I see myself, to me, Lewy is a source for inspiration. It’s the reason why I write music. Lewy is someone you should be able to turn to and listen to when needed and learn from. Everyone has their story to tell, and it’s important to be able to tell that story for others to learn from and help them experience their own journey for themselves.

Tell us about your current project?

Just releasing the album ‘Through My Eyes’ on August 11th, we have been working on getting this story to as many listeners as possible. No matter what you set yourself off to accomplish on your journey, it’s all about the story. It’s all about what it took to get you there, and everything you had to lose and fight through to get there. That’s what makes your destination mean something. This project took 2 years in the making, but it was worth the wait. The expectations I had for this project wasn’t gonna get lowered. I knew what I wanted to say, but putting it together with the complexity of how different stories and people pushed me to get to where I am no, whether they knew it or not. This project is about the journey, the struggles win, loses, and crazy shit that happens when you are trying to make shit happen!

What’s on your bucket list to accomplish as an entertainer?

On my bucket list, as an entertainer, besides working with my favorite artists like Drake, j.cole, and Eminem, I wanna create difference outlets to give back to the community and the people. I wanna have not only one of the biggest non-profit organizations but the biggest difference maker. Where everyone can be involved and join in to make a difference. I also wanna make sure my albums go double platinum!

Will you be finishing out 2017 on the road or what’s on your horizon for 2018?

By the end of 2017 I plan to at least have 2-3 record labels having interest in Lewy. We plan to have grown dramatically, have talk buzzing around about who Lewy is, and have been to at least 2-3 different states across the country representing the story, ‘Through My Eyes’.

The Hype Magazine wants to know: What’s been your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?! Or “WTF?!” moment thus far in your career?

My CRAZIEST WTF moment so far as an artist was getting double booked for a show with a Spanish mariachi band at a bar/lounge in Burbank CA. Not only was there a band playing but it was also a free salsa class. Let’s just say by the end of the show some of the little old Spanish ladies were at least rocking their head to the beat.
