Red Bull Radio to broadcast a special LIVE edition of weekly show ‘Glydezone’
For the very first time, Red Bull Radio will broadcast a special edition of their weekly show, Glydezone, before a live audience on Tuesday, October 10, at 8:00 PM PT / 11:00 PM ET. Hosted by modern-funk musician, vocalist and producer Dâm-Funk, Glydezone creates a mythical space for modern funk, boogie, soul, cosmic constructions and beyond.
As part of the Red Bull Music Academy Festival Los Angeles taking place October 6-29, Dâm-Funk will record a special Tuesday edition of Glydezone before a live audience that celebrates the sounds of Los Angeles, featuring three generations of LA-based musicians as special guests, including: singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Leon Sylvers III, Los Angeles Rapper, Dom Kennedy and producer and singer, Matt Martians.
For each episode of Glydezone, Dâm-Funk, otherwise known as Damon Riddick, thumbs through his deep crates of records to showcase the past, present, and future of the funkmosphere, alongside exclusive track debuts, guest mixes and in-depth conversations with true music icons from multiple different eras. Dâm-Funk has a unique gift for partnering new and old sounds from different generations on the same stage, and for this episode, audience members and listeners at home will not only be treated to some of the best funk records ever heard, but can also expect to hear plenty of deep conversations about how the music was created, and what role music has played in the life of musicians from different generations.
