No Yielding for Rising Dancehall Artist Tactikal, Full Speed Ahead with his 4 Way Flashers On!

At the age of 13, Ossan McKenzie received his musical calling, and after immersing himself in all it encompasses, at the age of 20 decided to take his music serious by entering a popular national talent show called Magnum Kings and Queens, it was then, that Tactikal was born!

With positive feedback from the crowd and judges, the budding artist knew he made the right decision. Although he did not win the competition, Tactikal said ” This only the beginning. The journey did not stop there for me. I gained great knowledge just from being there. I took what I learned and continued to perfect my skills and grow in my music. I will always cherish the opportunity that I was given to showcase my talent on such a great stage.”

In that same year he met his mentor, artist/engineer Neutron Obliv, who helped him perfect and hone his craft. The latter resulted in early recordings which garnered airplay on the radio and created a buzz in the ears of Jamaica. From performing alongside artists like Alkaline and Kalado, to a hit single with a popular Mexican star, Tactikal was featured in a Dancehall Documentary for one of Korea’s biggest networks, KBS Broadcasting who journeyed to Jamaica from Seoul, Korea. This highlight translated into major exposure for the rising artist.

Having worked with talented and renowned producers, Tactikal has steadily built an impressive discography, such as his latest single “Four Way Flasher” (Snippet: http://tinyurl.com/SnippetTactikalFWF) produced by Jam 2 Productions. Speaking of the song meaning, he explained “well, it’s a money song but with a different concept, as a young artist we always hustling, we always do road fi get the cash, we nah wait and we nah stop. It’s a metaphor”

“We were in the studio and heard the riddim, my friend Dangles was there and I was just saying how he’s always rushing to work with his four flashers on…and I said it to the riddim and it flowed. Turn on the four way flasher speed press gas a bun up the road fi dah cash ya” said Tactikal of the song’s creation.

Distributed by Zojak Worldwide, the single is available for pre-order http://smarturl.it/4WayFlasher.
