Trap Pioneer Gucci Mane Gets Personal with New Book, New Album and Sneaker Collaboration

Gucci Mane is home, and his new album is proving a street general, can be knocked down, but he’ll always rise to the top. The East Atlanta native dropped, Mr. Davis, his eleventh studio album, off of 1017 Entertainment, and Atlantic Records.  The cover is an artistic interpretation of Gucci’s dark reflection.  Gucci enticed fans with his first drop, “I Get The Bag,” almost nearly a month ago. Guwop made it public that he had his walls covered in rhymes while incarcerated. In 2014 a brief  prison stay was very lucrative for the rapper.  With this album we get our extended look inside Gucci’s world.

Gucci Mane hit the scene in 2005 with his first album Trap House. He went on to drop several mixtapes including a Trap God series. Worldwide executive, entrepreneur, and Trap celebrity. Gucci created La Flare entertainment with producer Zaytoven early on, and expanded with an affiliate of Atlantic 1017 BrickSquad. Rappers affiliated to the label were OJ Da Juicman, Gorilla Zoe, Young Dolph, Peewey Longway, Rocko, and Waka Flocka. After a very public beef and fall out, only Peewey Longway and Young Scooter remain. Guwop has been one of the biggest influences in Trap music from day one. Cosigning and signing multiple artist in the genre. He recently added fashionista to his lifestyle presenting a clothing brand Delantic Clothing officially dropping in late September of 2017. Delantic designed by Supreme and Nike Collaborators Peter and Patty Chung featuring Gucci’s ankle bracelet and a campaign full of contributors.  “Waybach” and “Black Beatles” cemented Gucci Mane’s second coming on the rap scene. Gucci Mane was recently gifted a collaborative effort with Reebok Classics.  His Autobiography “A Story of Rap Rebirth” is a New York Times Bestseller.

As Gucci celebrates the eve of his Mane Event BET Wedding Special starring now wife Keyshia Ka’oir, Gucci reaps the benefits of pioneering trap rap.  Mr. Davis is an introspective album from an often flashy and braggadocios Gucci Mane.  Mr. Davis contains an all-star cast of artist  from Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd, Asap Rocky,  and Migos to Big Sean, Schoolboy Q, Young Dolph, Chris Brown.  He included a rare production team of over 20 beatmakers including Mike Will Made It, Ben Billions, and Rico Love.  Gucci proves he’s a relic in the rap industry.   For this trap rap veteran the sky is the limit. The ceremony between Gucci Mane and Ms. Keyshia Ka’oir was a page straight out of a fairy tale.  As those connected viewed the next move from Atlanta’s elite.
