About WAV

WAV is a music platform that provides a 360-degree support system for emerging artists in hip-hop and electronic dance music, leveraging the WAV app to help artists showcase their music in unique and interactive ways.

As an incubator for rising talent, WAV provides artists a variety of tools to help produce their best music, as well as strategic marketing support to reach new audiences. The ultimate potential of the artist journey is to sign a deal with WAV Records and have their music distributed via WAV’s partner, Sony Music’s The Orchard. WAV also collaborates with chart-topping and award-winning artists such as Migos, Krewella, 21 Savage, Loco Dice, Post Malone, and KJ Sawka (of Pendulum and Destroid), as well as industry tastemakers like The FADER, OWSLA, HipHopDx, and Dirtybird.

Bonus: Exclusive clips from the live streamed finale including a couple flubs…hey enough pressure WILL bust a pipe as it did this evening…watch below

There are quite a few options not for the artist to get exposure in general, what we like about VERSUS is that it tends to the underserved underground Hip Hop community. Moves like this are imperative for the survival of the pillars of Hip Hop as well as dispelling the erroneous thoughts that underground artists can’t hack it in the commercial world. Resurging demand for BARZ, clever wordplay patterns and emotive delivery, are giving a new wave of rap dynamos the opportunity to remind the music world just exactly what makes Hip Hop such a global force…nuff said!

Way to go VERSUS see you next season! Stay Tuned for The Hype Magazine exclusive interview with this season’s winner coming soon!
