Chicago’s Bebe O’Hare crowned ‘Versus’ Season 1 Champion

So a few days back, WAV, live-streaming digital multimedia platform, held its electrifying finale for their new rap competition series Versus LIVE at the electrifying Sound Nightclub. Finalists, Asad Ill and Bebe O’Hare went head to head in a winner take all rap battle in front of celebrity guest judges, an audience, and cameras all while being live-streamed on the WAV app.

In VERSUS: Episode 2.2 Bebe O’Hare this season’s ultimate winner, DEFINITIVELY separates herself from the crowd in this competition…check it!

After getting expert insight and feedback from some of the music industry’s finest, including Ghostface Killah, The Cool Kids, Sonny Digital and Scoop Deville, the winner of season one was crowned; Chicago native Bebe O’Hare, who has collaborated with artists like Wiz Khalifa and Chevy Woods was officially declared the champ, receiving a $10,000 cash prize and WAV Records deal distributed by Sony’s digital imprint The Orchard.

Ghostface Killah also took to the stage to amp up the crowd with his performance and show the up and comers in the rap game how it’s done.

The live finale was followed by a mixer at the intimate lounge and new LA hotspot, Liasion, next door to Sound Nightclub where winner Bebe O’Hare, the other series contestants, host Kenny Burns, celebrity judges and more toasted to the success of season one of the show and Bebe’s triumphant win.

There are quite a few options not for the artist to get exposure in general, what we like about VERSUS is that it tends to the underserved underground Hip Hop community. Moves like this are imperative for the survival of the pillars of Hip Hop as well as dispelling the erroneous thoughts that underground artists can’t hack it in the commercial world. Resurging demand for BARZ, clever wordplay patterns and emotive delivery, are giving a new wave of rap dynamos the opportunity to remind the music world just exactly what makes Hip Hop such a global force…nuff said!
