Five Questions With Justin The GR8

Music artist and songwriter, Justin Antoine Hamilton aka “Justin The GR8”, was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL on December 8, 1996 . Justin grew up singing in his church choir, as well as acting in multiple plays. As a child, he was very passionate about performing and at age 12 appeared as an actor on the television hit series “America’s Most Wanted”. It wasn’t until age 14, while receiving voice lessons, that Justin’s eyes were opened to his talent in music. His voice coach, Wanda Walden, had experience as a singer herself and also with various notable artists, and therefore her positive feedback was invaluable to him. Justin’s passion for music and performing became even more fueled after a close friend encouraged him to sing in their high school showcase. At this showcase, Justin performed the 90s single “If I ever fall in love” by the group Shai. The incredible reaction he received after his performance is what greatly motivated Justin to then dedicate his life to building a successful music career.

Through his mother, who saw his determination, he was introduced to executive music producer John Hitta. John recognized his talent and signed Justin to Record 33, after observing Justin’s audition. Fast forward to the present, his current hit single “THE ANTHEM” is currently climbing the charts and available for stream and downloads every music is sold, he is seeing online and terrestrial radio plays around the world, he has and endorsement deal from ARTA Tequila, and now he is getting ready to release his “#SUCCESS EP!”

As you see yourself, who is Justin The GR8?

I’m more of a goofy, intelligent, fun, artistic, interesting person all in one. You’ll either love me or hate me, probably because I’m straightforward and have the courage to do what I want, which makes me inspiring in a way. Very energetic, so always lit!! But aware and strategic in the way I move.

Tell us about your current project?

Right now I’m putting together a Fire EP. Very dynamic and unique as far as style, energy, and creativity. It shows my diversity and gives you a sense of who I am. Gr8 vibes which I know my fans will love.

What’s on your bucket list to accomplish as an entertainer?

TBH I’m going to be the next hottest thing in the market and when that happens, I will watch this video and Smile. I look at some of the hottest artists in the game rn like Chris Brown and Migos, and I want to be on that level in my own unique way, and I honestly feel what I’m about to bring to the table will surpass them.

Will you be finishing out 2017 on the road or what’s on your horizon for 2018?

My “Success” EP will be completed by the end of 2017. 2018 is the year of transition: Shows, tours, concerts, and completing my Fire Album. SO STAY TUNED!!

The Hype Magazine wants to know: What’s been your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?! Or “WTF?!” moment thus far in your career?

The craziest WTF moment thus far in my career has been the process of creating my second Single “One Night”. Every time I tried to record the song, something got in the way or when the song gets recorded, there is an issue… It’s like the song was resistant because it knew how Fire it would be.
