Recap: W Hotels x CFDA {Fashion Incubator} Designer Showcase in Los Angeles
W Hotels and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) {FASHION INCUBATOR}, unveiled an intimate designer showcase honoring {FASHION INCUBATOR} designers: Alix, DDUGOFF, Haerfest, K/LLER COLLECTION and Yestadt Millinery at W Hollywood.
The partnership between W and CFDA, established in 2012, has enabled the Incubator designers to travel beyond New York City and into key markets around the country, which led them to Los Angeles for their final reveal.
Leading image architect Law Roach mentored the designers to prepare for the main event and merchandised each brand’s showcase. “I moved to LA 4 years ago – I felt that LA would soon become the next major hub for the fashion industry. Of course, New York is known as the fashion capital but Los Angeles’s fashion scene is evolving and getting stronger. The LA Showcase is a great example of the future of fashion looking to creative fashion capitals outside of NYC – in-the-know brands like W Hotels and the CFDA brought top new talent to Los Angeles to collaborate with influencers in the industry and I was so glad to be a part of their grand introduction,” said Law.
The imminent designers were celebrated amongst a crowd of media, influencers, retailers, and guests, set to tunes provided by DJ Astronautica. Guests spent the evening immersing themselves in the latest creations merchandised throughout the W Hollywood’s The Loft space and modeled by each brand’s ambassador: DDUGOFF X Austin & Aaron Rhodes, Haerfest X Taylr Anne, K/ller X Thania Peck, Alix X Kristen Noel Crawley and Yestadt Millinery X Marta Pozzan.
