GRAMMY® nominated rap/hip hop artist Cardi B performed for a sold-out crowd at the Swisher Sweets Artist Project NOLA Takeover at New Orleans’ Joy Theater on Friday night. The massive end-of-year show also featured performances by Machine Gun Kelly, New Orleans’ own DJ Mannie Fresh, Chanel West Coast, Kelechi, KB The Boo Bonic, Jay Vinchi and Tobi Lou.

“The Swisher Sweets Artist Project is a passion project for me because I truly see the value in connecting with our consumers through music.” said John Miller, president of Swisher International, Inc. “Giving emerging artists a platform and supporting the artist community as a whole is at the forefront of the Artist Project. It is amazing to see how it has evolved in a short time, and tonight’s sold-out show is the culmination of that.”

Now in its third year, the Swisher Sweets Artist Project has generated a substantial platform for emerging artists, while giving back to the artist community in each city they visit. This year, the Swisher Sweets Artist Project awarded $10,000 in grants for emerging artists and hosted Pack Nights in Los Angeles, Detroit, Atlanta and Houston. The Artist Project will return in 2018 with stops in Los Angeles, Detroit, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Houston and New Orleans.
