0U2’s Bono & The Edge Are Giving Fans The Chance To Play Mini Golf And Have a Pint With Them
As released on December 1st, Songs Of Experience is the latest full-length album from legendary Irish rock band U2. The quartet is currently on tour and making the media rounds in support of Songs Of Experience, yet self-promotion is not the only thing that U2 has going on. Product Red — initially known as (RED) when co-founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver in 2006 — is a charity-minded organization, providing profits to the Global Fund to battle AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Naturally, (RED) remains one of U2’s main priorities. Partners of (RED) have included Nike, Apple, Starbucks and Electronic Arts.
Anyone makes an online donation to (RED) will receive multiple entries into a contest in which the grand prize winner will have the chance to play miniature golf with all of U2 and then have “a pint” afterwards. The winner will also get to take pictures with the band. The night doesn’t end there, however, as said the winner will also be put up in a four-star hotel.
This U2 sweepstakes is being overseen by Omaze. The same site is also offering one of a kind charity-benefitting experiences with talk show host Conan O’Brien, singers Shania Twain and John Legend, actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
