R&B Soul Duo, Ruff Endz, Returns With Long Awaited Album

Welcome  back to some of the dopest voices in R&B…the long awaited return of Ruff Endz is now a reality!!!

Ruff Endz, best known for its chart-topping hits “No More” and “Someone to Love” is finally back with their latest release.  The Baltimore natives have been in the studio working on a soulful project that promises to bring that ’90s/early 2000s, organic feel back to R&B.  The lead single, “Don’t Leave”, is one of 14 tracks featured on the new Soul Brothers album.  Soul Brothers is now available on iTunes, Amazon and all digital music platforms.

David “Davinch” Chance and Dante “Chi” Jordan make up the Ruff Endz duo, which formed in Baltimore in the mid-’90s.  At the start of their career, Ruff Endz was featured on Martin Lawrence’s “Blue Streak” with a song entitled “Please Don’t Forget About Me”, which was produced by superstar producer Nokio from the platinum group Dru Hill. They followed up in 2000 with their first album entitled Love Crimes. Their first single, “No More”, reached #1 on the R&B/Hip Hop charts and peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2002, the duo released their second album, Someone To Love You, which peaked in the top 10 on the R&B charts and top 50 on Billboard. The album’s first single, “Someone To Love You”, went on to spend 11 weeks at #1 on the AC charts.

“We are so proud of this new album.  It truly speaks to the essence of genuine, feel-good R&B,” says Davinch.  The duo is glad to join the latest emergence of throwback artists and groups, like SWV, Xscape, and BBD.  “The fans are longing for good music.  They like the way it makes them feel, and we aren’t afraid to talk about love and romance,” says Chi.

Prior to recording the album, Ruff Endz were compelled to release “Time 4 Change”, in response to the injustice in their city and all cities alike. “Time 4 Change” is also the group’s tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Ruff Endz was also recently featured on one of Fox TV‘s latest breakout TV films, “Shots Fired”. Their song, “Speak to My Heart” aired in episode 7 on March 22, 2017.

The duo has also just returned from an Australian tour and is currently booking future shows.
