The Ali Sisters Get “Stripped” On Bravo TV

Nowadays, most people can’t go 2 hours without social media. What would you do if all of this beloved “technology” was taken away, yet you still have to get by in the current state of the world? Would you rather have your phone or your toothbrush? Do you possess the vigor to hit the streets of Hollywood wrapped in nothing but a blanket to find sustenance?  Inspired by a popular Scandinavian social experimentation, Bravo TV’s series, “Stripped“, will make you reevaluate your everyday routine and materialistic necessities.

Episode 4, which aired January 2nd, 2018 on Bravo TV, features sisters, Autianna and Jaseena Ali. I had the honor of getting to know these beautiful, vivacious young women prior to the hustle and bustle of the red carpet for the, “Ali Sisters Media” company launch and private screening of “Stripped”, at The Parlor, in Hollywood, California.

As the two anxiously watched the commercial for their premiere, they mentioned that this would be the first time they were seeing the full episode themselves. Imagine having 21 days of your life, stripped of all earthly possessions, filmed and condensed into one hour, having no idea how you may be portrayed. This pressure was not going to discourage these sisters from having a great time. As the commercial ended, the older of the siblings (Autianna), says, “Once I’m relaxed, I’ll be out there doing the robot!”. With no hesitation, Jaseena replied, “Oh, she will too!”.  Of course, being the DJ I am, this made me instantly fall in love with their carefree charm. Even more so when Auti went on to talk about her love of music. Among close friends and family, her nickname is, “DJ Auti The Hoti”.

I can honestly say, I’ve never had much interest in this particular series, as I’m not into “Reality TV”. But due to the synopsis and its substructure I was quite interested to see the Ali Sisters’ episode.

One of the main reasons I’m not a fan of reality television is, (whether you want to or not), you tend to find yourself “judging” people in situations, when you don’t truly know their back stories. People such as myself who share this pre-conceived notion, assume we really only see what the producers want or feel should be perceived. In this particular case, I had to throw that assumption out the window.

Auti and Seena’s episode will have you on a rollercoaster of mixed feelings/”judgements”.  I went from laughing hysterically, (I definitely had to rewind their song about hygiene 29.8 times), to thinking, “Man, they’re cute, they’ll be fine”, to “They’ve never felt the struggle”, to tears from a selfless act of kindness on Day 16.  Without giving away the conclusion of their journey on “Stripped”, I will say, the outcome made me adore Auti and Seena even more!

“Stripped” airs on Bravo TV, Tuesdays. Watch “Episode 4“. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Keep up with the Ali Sisters @alisistersmedia @AutiTheHoti @Seenajtv
