Trailblazers Cruise Past Mavericks 107-93 On The Road

The Portland Trailblazers beat the Dallas Mavericks by 14 in a 107- 93, victory on the road Friday night at the American Airlines Center. Three-time All-Star Damian Lillard led the way with 29 points on 9-18 shots from the floor while adding three assists and three rebounds. His backcourt partner in crime CJ McCollum added in 20 points on 9-14 shots from the floor dishing out five dimes and grabbing rebounds. Ed Davis put in solid minutes off the bench while recording a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. As for the big man down low Jusuf Nurkic, he chipped in 12 points, eight rebounds, a block, and a steal.  Portland’s Rookie Zach Collins made the most of his 15 minutes off the bench by tallying nine points on 3-5 shots from the floor.

Mavericks Small-Forward Harrison Barnes had another solid outing as he led the team in scoring with 21 points in 34 minutes of work going 6-15 during Friday’s game against the Blazers. He would also add seven boards and three assists. Dennis Smith Jr. Added 18 points on shooting  50 percent from the floor and recording seven dimes, and four rebounds.Wesley Matthews drops in 12 points on 5-14 shots. As for Dirk, he adds in seven points on 2-11 shots from the floor and five rebounds.  The Mavericks will head on a one-game road trip against the Denver Nuggets, before returning home to play the Miami Heat at the American Airlines Center on Monday, January 29th at 7:30 PM CST.
