6 Questions with South Central Rapper JAG #IAMMUSICOLOGY CORNER

JAG has been making some big moves lately. After murdering a freestyle on the LA Leakers evening show the gateways have opened up for JAG. Since then, he’s has been featured on Sway in the Morning and Beats 1 Radio and there’s no sign that JAG is slowing down anytime soon. Just a few weeks ago, JAG was a featured artist on the first ever ESPN All-Star cypher alongside fellow emcee’s District, Albee Al, & Ras Kass, his single Mr. Good Bar is getting a strong response from fans and this South Central lyricist is definitely worth watching.

Get into our six question with JAG.

Brittney: If it wasn’t for music I’d be …

JAG: To be real selling drugs or coaching basketball (I coached AAU in LA before the rap sh*t really picked up)…or maybe both for real

Brittney:What message you hope your message delivers to people?

JAG:That in all seriousness you can do anything you put your mind to regardless of your circumstances…and to the women who turned me down y’all gotta see me now HELLO!! lol

Brittney: Top five artist you’d like to work with and why?

JAG: Jay Z, J cole, Kendrick, Drake and Yasin Bey, because this is HIP HOP, period!

Brittney: Where do you see yourself a year from now?

JAG:Coming off my first ever Grammy nomination

Brittney: What’s the most bizarre things that’s ever happened to you in the studio or while performing?

JAG: I had a marketing meeting before one of my studio sessions that ended up turning into a full out rumble amongst some of the people on my team at the time. Ni**as was feeling some type a way about their ideas being shut down, (shaking my head)!

Brittney: Would describe your style as a battle rapper or lyrical rapper?

JAG: All of the above.
