Hardee’s Unveils The “Crop Burger” in Nashville

Known for its “comfort culture,” Hardee’s prides itself in “down home, done right” approach to food. Its menu included from 100 percent Black Angus Thickburgers, Made from Scratch Biscuits, Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenders, and Hand-Scooped Milkshakes. In turn, it is not surprising that the new Hardee’s campaign features hick-hop music star Big Wet, whose voice is featured on both Hardee’s new television commercial and anthem song; it is all part of the “Tastes Like America” campaign.

When asked for comment about Hardee’s new Crop Burger, The Hype Magazine spoke directly with Jeff Jenkins, chief marketing officer of CKE Restaurants, Inc. Said Jenkins: “Anyone can make billboards, we make crop-boards. We didn’t want to talk to our customers in America’s Heartland the traditional way so we went with something different, something that wouldn’t blend in, and something we think fits with our brand — a crop burger.” Jenkins enthusiastically continued to Hype: “Hardee’s is known for its biscuits, and its thick-cut 100% Black Angus Beef burgers. So instead of using another billboard with studio-shot food, we worked with a local farmer, and renowned earthworks artist Stan Herd, to throw our food, and our customers, a down-home salute.”
