Brittney Taylor is more than just a new face for season 8 of LHHNY. She is a fierce rapper, singer and all around entertainer. She has formally worked with artists such as DJ Webstar, Jim Jones, and Tory Lanes.

Rapper Trina has dubbed Brittney her “daughter” and is a huge support system for the Queens-born rapper. So much so they have a super animated and catchy song together “ Pop Summin.” Brittney’s bars hit so hard, they have caught the attention of rap legends such as Snoop Dogg who reposted a video of her rapping her infamous “Issues Freestyle” which now has a video out. Besides her fantastic emcee skills, Brittney is a Fashion Moment. She’s a subtle mixture of rockstar chic and gothic glam! Her wardrobe includes a mix of latex, leathers, furs, platform boots and lace-up styles. Her aesthetic screams Spice Girls, giving us a modern twist on one of our favorite 90’s groups.

The Hype Magazine got Brittney to weigh in on a few things:

From the outside looking in, who is Brittney Taylor?

Well, I’m on the inside but If I could be on the outside looking in I would have to say Brittney Taylor is fun, Crazy, edgy and talented as hell.

What brought you to the entertainment industry, music specifically?

What brought me into the entertainment industry is my passion for music period. I fell in love with music at a young age and always wanted to be a super star.

What do you want people to know about Brittney the artist, OUTSIDE of what they get to see on television?

What I was people to know about Brittney the artist is actually a really bubbly/humble person. I literally come from nothing and I hustled from the bottom with blood, sweat, and tears to get here. I do everything I do for my family.

Tell us about your current project and what makes it exciting for you.

I’m actually working on 2 projects currently. Jack Rabbit vol. 2 is a series of mixtapes I have where I’m killing other artists beats. I’m excited about it because my fans have been waiting for it for a long time and I’m happy it’s finally done.

The second project is my EP, and I haven’t really chosen a name yet but it’s def some real raw shxt. It’s me basically telling my life story and I’m really excited to let people in. I know so many people are going to be able to relate to me.

For new listeners, what song of yours would you pick as an introduction to you as an artist?

The song I would pick for me as an introduction as an artist it would have to be Society (Water Whippin) because it’s who I am. It’s me. I’ve seen my papa water whippin. and my society turned me into a menace” period.

She’s definately got barz and attitude…perfect combination for a rising Hip Hop star. ~ JD
