Rapper and Humanitarian French Montana Joins Global Citizen Ceo Hugh Evans for ‘Using Music To Make The World A Better Place’ Panel

Multi-platinum recording artist, global humanitarian and first rap ambassador of Global Citizen French Montana participated in a panel for the Milken Institute’s “Using Music To Make The World A Better Place,” event at The Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles to bring awareness to the power of music. Members of the panel included Michael Lang, Harvey Mason Jr., and Diane Warren, and moderated by former President of Viacom Music and Entertainment Group, Doug Herzog.

French attended the panel with Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans which involved an open discussion in highlighting the ways his music is used to evoke social change and bring awareness to global healthcare.

This falls on the heels of French’s work surrounding his hit single “Famous” from his RIAA-certified Gold album Jungle Rules where he partnered with CARE Morocco to provide quality education, computers, books, outreach support for parents, arts programs for the kids, and services that offer teacher training.

Last year, French also launched an #Unforgettable Campaign with Mama Hope that raised over $500K with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and The Weeknd to build the Suubi “Hope” Health Center in Uganda, affecting the lives of over 300,000 citizens.
