TUNE-IN: LeBron James’ Basketball Docuseries “Best Shot” – Episode 3

Must watch: In this week’s episode of the powerful LeBron James-Executive Produced docuseries, Best Shot, featuring ESPN Analyst and former NBA star Jay Williams it’s an emotional look at the personal struggles one student faces everyday and the team prepares for a big game against a rival school.

Later in the episode, in addition to new kicks for the team, Jay shares personal letters he wrote for each team member and asks them to write down their goals. Jay then recalls a memory from his sophomore year at Duke University when they won the National Championship, and how he had sat with his teammates six months prior to write down a personal goal that ended up coming true, thanks to his then teammate Chris Duhon.

The YouTube Original series premiered the first two episodes July 18th on the NBA YouTube channel to a red hot start, with the first episode garnering over 1.1 million views in the first week. More than a basketball documentary, Best Shot is a powerful and inspiring journey into the lives of a group of young student-athletes working to rise above the challenges they encounter both on and off the court, in one of Newark’s poorest neighborhoods.

The series is executive produced by LeBron James and Maverick Carter of SpringHill Entertainment, Boardwalk Pictures  (“Chef’s Table,” “Lance Chance U”) and Warner Bros. Television Group’s digital studio Blue Ribbon Content and directed by Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker, Michael John Warren (Fearless, Jay-Z Fade to Black, Drake: Better Than Good Enough).
