Julius “Dr. J” Erving Says He Tries To Stay Away From The GOAT Debate

Over the last five to six season, Michael Jordan and LeBron James have drawn the comparison to each. Michael Jordan’s Six championships have been the bar that James is chasing in today’s NBA.  Dr. J made an appearance on the Scoop B Radio podcast this week.

“I think it has always happened,”NBA Hall of Famer, Julius Erving told Scoop B Radio

“I think people always make comparisons to people who are done. LeBron may play another six years LeBron may play one year we don’t really know.”

Dr. J is one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history and he is one of a few players who has won a championship in the ABA and the NBA.  According to the Dr. J, His all-time greatest player is Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

“My all-time greatest player is Kareem Abdul Jabbar.”  Julius Erving told Scoop B Radio

He would continue:

“I think when you add up the numbers and add up the years’ nobody has contributed more to the NBA history or pro basketball history. It’s very subjective. You say: ‘Michael or LeBron who was better’ or who was the greatest, the GOAT, that is for the fans to argue about.”
