Kazzie – Kazzie & The Wavy Bunch

A natural-born emcee with an easy charisma, New Jersey rapper Kazzie expertly balances boisterous lyrics with memorable hooks. Showing off his versatile style and his skills as a collaborator, Kazzie shares Kazzie & The Wavy Bunch, a ten-track new mixtape. On the new mixtape, Kazzie demonstrating his electric chemistry with a cadre of rising female emcees, as he harmonizes with Rico Nasty on “Think I’m In Love,” talks tough with Molly Brazy on “With It,” and gets romantic with Dreezy on “Going Nowhere.” Featuring additional appearances from Cupcakke and Renni Rucci, Kazzie & The Wavy Bunch finds Kazzie adapting his style to fit his collaborators, shifting the production, style, and subject matter to best fit his current collaborator. Arriving via SLS Entertainment, Kazzie & The Wavy Bunch is a fascinating concept record and an excellent intro to the wavy world of Kazzie.

Rising from the same vibrant New Jersey rap scene that produced Redman and Fetty Wap, Kazzie has the talent and work ethic to follow in their footsteps. Having released tracks with prominent features from Fetty Wap, Waka Flocka, Fabolous, Gucci Mane, Rick Ross, and Yo Gotti, Kazzie is a respected artist in his community and online who built a strong following with his frequent freestyle videos, taking on beats made famous by Migos, Nicki Minaj, Blocboy JB, Gunna, and many more and making them his own. Kazzie recently bundled his Instagram freestyles into 23 & 1, a new project available via MyMixtapez. Releasing later this summer, Kazzie & The Wavy Bunch finds Kazzie demonstrating his electric chemistry with a cadre of rising female emcees, including Cupcakke, Rico Nasty, Molly Brazy, and Renni Rucci.

To accompany the release of the mixtape, Kazzie shares “Mad Or What,” a new music video. Rocking Versace and stunting in front of his Dodge Hellcat, Kazzie taunts his haters on the mixtape highlight: “Hunnids are adding up/Your shit ain’t adding up/We got em mad at us/Talkin’ beef, we toe-taggin’ up.” “Mad Or What” finds Kazzie teaming up with Renni Rucci, a rising South Carolina emcee who shows off a nimble, rapidfire flow over the creeping instrumental. Premiered by L.A. Leakers, “Mad Or What” is a mixtape highlight, and a further testament to Kazzie’s stylistic fluidity.
