Pell Drops First Single ‘Fallback’ Since his ‘girasoul’ EP via Payday Records

New Orleans native lyricist and rapper, Pell drops “Fallback” via Payday Records marking his first solo single since his 2017 girasoul EP.
“Fallback” combines a funky bass tune with a rhythmic R&B guitar to create a melody to not only vibe to, but also foster deep reflection. Despite rapping on the toxicity of constant heartbreak, Pell manages to keep the track light and catchy with his upbeat flow. The tone of his voice is unmatched and his lyrics are universally felt, allowing the track to relay its genuine and authentic message.
“It’s a good time to start releasing all the work that I’ve held onto over the past months,” said Pell. “‘Fallback’ is the first of many like it and I’m happy to change the sound I’ve set for myself and continue to reinvent myself. More to come!”
Pell’s new single “Fallback” follows last week’s release of “Hear Me” which is featured on the 30-track official Madden NFL 19 soundtrack in the company of industry heavyweights like Migos, Pusha T, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, 2 Chainz, Lil Yachty and more. Pell’s been keeping busy this summer having dropped a project in June with renowned producer NGHTMRE in a joining of forces fusing bass music and hip-hop for their collaborative Magic Hour EP, released on Diplo’s Mad Decent. He’s also been working the festival circuit having performed at this year’s Essence Festival in New Orleans and will be playing the Westward Music Festival in Vancouver this September.
This is the first single in a lineup of slated releases to come via the Payday label, in which Pell will be dropping one song a month through the end of the year beginning today.
