Synth – SEARLS

Scar is the first track from SEARLS’s upcoming 4 track EP. Set for release on July 6th, Scar was written by SEARLS and produced/co-written with Tileyard Music’s Gil Lewis

SEARLS, originally from Ireland, is a music artist who takes older influences from the likes of Kraftwerk, the Human League, Pet Shop Boys and blends contemporary acts such as James Blake, Jessie Ware, Shura and mixes it all up to create his own sound. Learning his craft as a professional vocalist on the UK’s music scene, he sang backing vocals for Adele as a part of her 2017 stadium tour to an audience record of 100,000 people. This release follows 2017 sell out shows in Los Angeles and London. It is the first release since 2016’s Clash/Wonderland premiered Follow

The entire EP was produced by Gil Lewis. With influences such as Prince and Michael Jackson, his music combines the old and gritty with the new and colorful. In recent years, Gil has been frequently co-producing with legendary producer PNUT (Amy Winehouse, Justin Timberlake). He also produced and toured with the band BLOOMS, opening for Ellie Goulding and produced the 2018 UK Eurovision entry for SuRie, Storm.

Scar is a fun, buoyant and retro take on SEARLS’s dark synth-pop sound. Written after the breakdown of a tender relationship, it explores the signs of failing romance in an inextricable relationship.
