0Tamia – Today I Do
Happy Anniversary is in order for power couple Tamia and Grant Hill, who after 19 years of marriage will celebrate with the release of Tamia’s single “Today I Do,” off her soon-to-be-released album Passion Like Fire, which drops September 7 on 21 Entertainment Group/Plus 1 Music Group/Entertainment One (eOne). The video, which features an intimate look into the couple’s special day, premiered via ESSENCE.com. Tamia and Grant’s relationship has been an American fairytale, which unfolded in front of fans climaxing with them saying “I Do” at the altar in 1999. They both recently appeared on the second season of OWN’s “Black Love” (click here) highlighting moments of their life together.
“I went into the studio with Lil’ Ronnie and Sickpen with the intention of writing a wedding song. I envisioned a bride walking down the aisle,” states Tamia. “A wedding day is such a special moment in people’s lives and I wanted to write a song that could soundtrack that moment. The power of a love song never dies. It’s timeless.”
The multi-Grammy nominated singer’s current single “Leave It Smokin’” is #2 and #3 on the Mediabase and Billboard UAC charts, respectively, with airplay in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Cleveland, New Orleans, Detroit, St. Louis, Kansas City and more. “Leave It Smokin’” is available on all digital platforms. Fans can pre-order the album starting July 31.
In addition, Tamia is also excited to announce the 23-city “Passion Like Fire Tour” which kicks off September 18 in Cleveland, OH, at the House of Blues and culminates October 26 in Brooklyn, NY, at the Kings Theatre. The tour will crisscross over the country making stops in Los Angeles, Nashville, Chicago, Houston, and more.
