Williams Sonoma & No Kid Hungry Partner With Top Celebrities To Help End Childhood Hunger

As part of an annual collaboration between No Kid Hungry and Williams Sonoma, each year celebrities design a limited-edition spatulas — as sold at Williams Sonoma stores — to benefit No Kid Hungry. Williams Sonoma donates 30 percent of the retail price from each spatula purchase, in addition to a bonus on behalf of the designer whose spatula sells out first. This year’s participants include Kevin Bacon, Laila Ali, Questlove, Olivia Munn, Gwen Stefani, Giada De Laurentiis, Hunter Pence, Scarlett Johansson, Zac Posen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Duff Goldman, and Carson Daly.

Regarding the spatula he designed, Questlove — best known for his work with The Roots and as the bandleader of The Tonight Show — said: “The spatula design is inspired by stroke discs that DJs use to calibrate their turntables. The design plays on ideas around the rhythm of preparation and the enjoyment of dining.”

Actress and comedienne Olivia Munn noted: “I cherish the moments when I’m able to enjoy delicious food with those special to me. All children across America deserve to experience that same joy and not worry about where their next meal will come from.”

Actor, musician and philanthropist Kevin Bacon added: “My spatula reminds me that we’re all connected, which means that at this moments you and I are connected to a hungry child.”

More information on this wonderful campaign — which has raised $5.5 million and provide over 1.5 meals — can be found on the Williams Sonoma and No Kid Hungry websites.
