Radamiz, Brooklyn native and Payday Records’ rapper releases his newest single, and ode to his city called “NYNYNYNY.” Most recently he was seen on the Main Stage opening for Mos Def and Talib Kweli at this year’s Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival.

In true Radamiz fashion, the track pays homage to the rapper’s East Coast roots and speaks to his upbringing in New York City. “NYNYNYNY” explores the hard work, minimum wage and anxiety ridden lifestyle that comes with growing up in New York, but as always maintains an underlying tone of pride and love for the city. The song’s gritty entrancing beat, layered vocals and hard hitting lyrics come together to bring you a quintessential New York hip-hop anthem.

“‘NYNYNYNY’ serves as the soundtrack to when New York feels heavy, anxious, and crowded,” said Radamiz. “The antithesis to the exclusive party, the velvet rope club, the bias extravagance. It’s a call to be heard, it’s a call to be seen in a crowded place where everyone is ignoring you out of habit. Everyone who has lived in New York can relate to this song’s anxiety at some point in their life: it’s the call to be noticed and appreciated.”

Timed to the song’s release, Radamiz is set to be featured in a billboard and subway ad campaign in NYC for Depop, a peer-to-peer shopping app. The company is spotlighting Radamiz in NYC running from September 13th – November. Radamiz continues to pursue his interests whole-heartedly by combining his passions for both hip-hop and fashion – two cultural staples that define New York

ABOUT RADAMIZ:

Raised by Dominican-immigrant parents in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn’s Sumner Projects complex, 25-year-old MC Radamiz’s story is unlike a story told before. Being influenced to start rapping at the age of 12 outside of his first job packing groceries outside of a local supermarket, Jadakiss, Notorious B.I.G., Jay Z, Eminem helped shape the young MC’s idea of what a great lyricist was supposed to sound like.

One of Radamiz’s biggest highlights was being declared as Hot 97’s East Coast “Who’s Next” artist for 2013. Performance wise, Radamiz has opened for the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Rakim, A$AP Ferg, Talib Kweli, Action Bronson, Pro Era, Tunji Ige, Chuck Inglish, Smoke DZA, Vic Mensa, Smif-N-Wessun, Nitty Scott MC, and much more. He’s also been busy performing at venues all over NYC including SOB’s, Webster Hall, Santos Party House, YouTubeSpaceNY, etc. He was recently on the Main Stage opening for Mos Def and Talib Kweli at this year’s Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival.
