Pell – Greyhound

Pell Drops Highly Anticipated Single “Greyhound” Today via Payday Records

Today, New Orleans native lyricist, rapper, singer and producer, Pell drops “Greyhound” via Payday Records, which comes as part of a series of single releases he has been rolling out since the end of the summer. This is the second single in a lineup of slated releases via Payday, in which Pell will be dropping one song a month through the end of the year.

“Greyhound” shows Pell’s unique music style in this catchy-upbeat track about finding the one. The funky bass and smooth drums complement his melodic lyrics about how distance doesn’t stand a chance when it comes to love. Pell infuses his melodies with warmth, tenderness, and soul. This track is guaranteed to have you missing the one person who got away.

“I’m thoroughly a fan of no new song sounding like the last,” said Pell. “This song was originally called ‘Black Tame Impala’ because they’ve always been an influence to me – it just happens to show up more on this song. I wanted to make a song for young people who listen to indie music and this tells my story beautifully.”

Pell’s new single “Greyhound” follows his recent release of “Fallback” and “Hear Me” which is featured on the 30-track official Madden NFL 19 soundtrack in the company of industry heavyweights like Migos, Pusha T, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, 2 Chainz, Lil Yachty and more. Pell’s been keeping busy this summer having dropped a project in June with renowned producer NGHTMRE in a joining of forces fusing bass music and hip-hop for their collaborative Magic Hour EP, released on Diplo’s Mad Decent. He’s also been working the festival circuit having performed at this year’s Essence Festival in New Orleans and will be playing the Westward Music Festival in Vancouver this September 13-16th.
