Ella Mai – Ella Mai

New song Ella Mai Releases Self-Titled Debut Album Today on 10 Summers/Interscope Records

The wait is over for Ella Mai’s self-titled debut, released worldwide today, Friday, October 12th. Executive-produced by Mustard, the singer-songwriter’s musical director, Ella Mai is a kaleidoscopic romp through the 23-year-old’s whimsical world of young and unabashed, millennial love. Ella Mai (10 Summers/Interscope Records) is now available at all digital retailers.

The album caps an incredible year of achievement for Ella Mai, who graces the cover of this week’s Billboard magazine. The Irish-Jamaican beauty rose to the top of the charts with her triple-platinum selling “Boo’d Up.” That song recently made history as the longest running #1 by a woman on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, besting long-reigning queen of hip-hop soul, Mary J. Blige.

Likewise, Ella Mai’s “Trip” broke into the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 last week and is certified gold. The new album also features well-placed cameos from R&B vocalist H.E.R. on the girl’s anthem “Gut Feeling,” EGOT-winner John Legend on “Everything,” and R&B bad boy Chris Brown on the fan favorite, “Whatchamacallit.”

Earlier this week, the lion-maned chanteuse continued to raise the bar with noteworthy network television appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (NBC) and the American Music Awards (ABC), where she was nominated in two categories: “Favorite Female Artist Soul/R&B” and “Favorite Song Soul/R&B” for “Boo’d Up.”

Pepsi recently announced Ella Mai as part of the next wave of rising stars to be included in their Sound Drop program. The breakout star who was also featured in YouTube’s Artist on The Rise campaign, will wrap opening for Bruno Mars on the final leg of his 24K Magic World Tour at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on October 26th.
