Aria Wunderland Takes Listeners On a Trip In New Single “Airplane Mode”

Pop artist Aria Wunderland today released dreamy, shimmering new single, “Airplane Mode.” Aria Wunderland’s romantic story of escapism is beautifully told with melodic synths and her striking whispering vocals. The track premiered yesterday on Substream.

Aria Wunderland’s dreamy pop sound reflects her lyrics, as she fantasizes about romantic adventures of all shapes and sizes, from road trips to San Francisco, to attending the Cannes Film Festival and flying to Monaco. She begs, “take me to a place I’ve never been to,” whether that getaway is near or far. Aria sings wistfully about the thrill of taking in new sights and acquiring new experiences. Each trip is like a glamorous dream, where the real world vanishes and even your phone can’t take you back to reality.

Aria Wunderland told Substream, “This is a song about romance and escapism. This idea of exiting the world and reality we live in to be present to each other. We often get caught up in our day-to-day routine, we get busy with life’s responsibilities. Airplane Mode is about being in a jet-setting mood, breaking away from feelings of monotony and confinement. This song is also about finding comfort in the mere dream of getting away. So this idea that you may not necessarily hop on a plane at this very second but you can dream about going places and find solace in that. Just putting your phone on airplane mode, no distractions; just adventure, dreams, love and romance.”
