UK Grime Standout Reece West drops ‘Departure Lounge’ EP

One of the most consistent grime artists throughout 2018, Reece West has continued to prove his artistic abilities all year around; and now, to end the year with a bang he drops the ‘Departure Lounge’ EP.

Consisting of eight captivating tracks, Reece demonstrates his versatility of flows, topics, genres and beats whilst also staying true to his roots with the deep jumpy flows which can be found on any freestyle from his early career.

Deservedly landing himself a place on SPOTIFY’S ‘Rap UK’ playlist with the latest single to come from the EP, ‘Flavours’, he builds up an exciting name for himself as one of the UK’s most exciting prospects.

A key player in the underground scene for a number of years, the young MC now stands at the forefront of the UK’s rising grime talent, with critical acclaim across the serious tastemakers COMPLEX, HIGHSNOBIETY, RWD and RED BULL amongst others, as well as continuous support from BBC Radio 1xtra, Kiss FM, Rinse and Radar cementing the heat around the young artist.

Compared to grime legend D Double E (DUMMY) for his effortless flow complexity and technical ability, Reece’s style harks back to the old school Choice FM days with the kind of     lyrical content and poise that pulls straight to 2018.
