MNEK – Stopped Believing In Santa

Embracing the spirit of the season, MNEK releases his first-ever holiday song, “Stopped Believing In Santa.”

The critically acclaimed singer, songwriter, and producer co-wrote and co-produced this Christmas original. Over finger-snaps and warm acoustic guitar, a fiery falsetto accentuates his croon as he admits, “I stopped believing in Santa when you said goodbye, love.” Perfect for anyone who ever underwent heartbreak on a holiday, he once again breaks from tradition and decidedly blazes a trail of his own.

This past week, Billboard touted MNEK’s full-length debut, Language, among the “50 Best Albums of 2018.” The feature claims, “MNEK’s hitmaking mastery is on display in every track, from the bottomless supply of hooks to the clever interludes and transitions that weave them together…It all makes for one of the rare pop albums, in the age of cherry-picked playlists, demands a true start-to-finish listen.”

Firing on all cylinders in 2019, MNEK embarks on his very first North American headline tour, kicking off February 19 at Bowery Ballroom in New York City, performing in a total six major markets, and closing February 27 at Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco, CA. Continuing to enchant both tastemakers and fans alike, OUT Magazine included him in its coveted annual OUT100 portfolio. The profile describes Language as “the culmination of a lifelong dedication to both absorbing and making music.” Billboard also conducted an in-depth interview with him recently praising his attention to detail and writing, “Even the sequencing and transitions of the song are done with the finesse and panache of a consummate professional while the album itself cements the artist as a vocalist.” Language boasts fan favorite singles such as “Colour” [feat. Hailee Steinfeld], “Tongue”, and “Correct”. Thus far, these tracks have tallied over 100 million cumulative streams within a few months’ time. NME and Q both awarded the album four stars, and NPR Music touted it as an “Album You Should Hear Now.”

MNEK signed his first publishing deal at age 14. “Never Forget You,” his duet with Zara Larsson, topped Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and has been certified 3x Platinum in the U.S. He featured on Duke Dumont’s “Need You (100%),” which earned a GRAMMY® nomination for Best Dance Recording. The list of artists MNEK has written and produced for includes Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, Little Mix, Madonna, Diplo, MØ, Rudimental, Julia Michaels and Stormzy, to name but a few.
