Rising star Kam Corvet wants you to “Give It A Try” in new music video

It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost a year since we’ve gotten new music from Kameron Corvet after he dropped his stellar Early Riser EP last December, but he’s been a very busy man. Now performing as Kam Corvet, the multi-talented artist composed and co-wrote the international hit “Don’t Make Me Wait” for superstars Sting and Shaggy and has been seen backing them up on guitar on many a stage this year.

He continues his 2018 glow up and keeps a gem for himself with his new single “Give It A Try.” which you can preview on YouTube below:

Matters of the heart are central to “Give It A Try.” The sweet song is for the broken-hearted among us who consider trying to fall in love again with someone new. “I’ve been known to disappear when people talk about love and what it mean / But for some reason, the way you talk about it now, sound good, like real good,” Kam sings on the first verse, as the icebox where his heart used to be starts to melt. By the time he sings, “I want to give it try and make you my only one,” on the chorus, he’s all in and practically ready to put a ring on it.

Corvet provides more insight into the song, saying, “It’s about the feeling when someone previously reluctant to get into a relationship, finds his or herself changing their mind. It’s when a person realizes they had the wrong perception of what real relationships bring.” Believe it or not, the inspiration for the track actually came from the true story of his parents eloping after being pen pals. Considering that they’re still happily married many years later, they sound like #RelationshipGoals.

The lovey-dovey track also comes with a music video featuring Kam and his beautiful bae played by model/actress Jhordan Munn. Filmed in and around their Airstream trailer lovenest, we get a glimpse of their crazy, sexy, cool life together. The pair have such undeniable chemistry together that has us thinking that if they aren’t already a couple, they may want to give it a try.

Kam Corvet is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Cincinnati, Ohio by way of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In 2006, he released his first independent album “Sayingthings” and has been a fixture in the indie soul music scene both in the U.S. and abroad. Since then, Kam has released several projects including his acclaimed EP, “F_ck Love”, “Darker Than Gray” in 2014 and his most recent EP, “Early Riser”. He is gearing up to drop a new project and has chosen “Give It a Try”, produced by Gavin Brown, as the lead single.

He composed and co-wrote Sting and Shaggy’s new single “Don’t Make Me Wait” as well as for other artists including: Freddie Jackson, Angie Stone, Case and Avery Sunshine. He also wrote and was featured on two songs for international pop artist Mr. Probz including the single “Turning Tables”.

As a performer, Kam has traveled the world with his guitar as a solo/acoustic act while opening for the likes of: Adele, Erykah Badu, Chaka Khan, Marsha Ambrosius, Bilal, Dwele, Tamia and countless others. He has been featured in Upscale Magazine, Vibe.com, Centric.com, Concreteloop.com and Ebony.com as an artist to watch.

This year Kam completed a successful tour in Russia and has recently opened for Erykah Badu, Ty Dolla$ and continues to perform with Sting and Shaggy as a guitar player and backing vocalist.
