TM88 x Southside ft. Valee & Lil Yachty – Hmmm

TM88 shares a new single entitled “Hmmm” with Southside [feat. Valee & Lil Yachty]. Get it HERE via Capitol Music Group/Taylor Gang. Global tastemaker, Zane Lowe, premiered the song as his “World Record” on Apple Music Beats 1.

Once again, powerhouse producer, DJ, and Taylor Gang affiliate TM88 turns up with another slick and sharp anthem. Created alongside 808 Mafia cohort and longtime collaborator Southside, his production hinges on a tight beat that proves instantly hypnotic. Meanwhile, Valee and Lil Yachty make cameos of their own. Exuding undeniable energy, the hashtaggable and hook-y “Hmmm” remains impossible to shake.

“Hmmm” arrives hot on the heels of his latest banger “Order” with Southside [feat. Gunna]. Straight out of the gate, it clocked upwards of 1 million Spotify streams and counting in addition to releasing a music video. Critical acclaim followed as Hypebeast wrote, “This once teased track has now been fully realized with a vid, showcasing his ‘transformation’ as a creative.” Upon the arrival of “Order,” HotNewHipHop called him, “one of the most talented beatmakers in hip-hop.” Everything leads up to the release of his full-length debut, coming in 2019.

Cementing himself as a singular voice within Atlanta, TM88 maintains his position at the forefront of the pack. In fact, he does more than just influence the style of his hometown; he regularly pushes it to level up. He went from selling beats for $40 a pop at 12-years-old to co-founding 808 Mafia and eventually arriving as a solo musical force on the heels of a string of smashes. Beyond producing for everyone from Drake and 2 Chainz to Travis Scott, and Young Thug, he joined Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa on the critically acclaimed collaborative project TGOD Mafia: Rude Awakening.

Angling towards household name status, 2017 saw him deliver “XO TOUR LLIF3” for Lil Uzi Vert. It went on to achieve a seven-times platinum certification from the RIAA as his profile dramatically rose with features from The Fader, XXL, and more. In 2018 alone, he crafted bangers for XXXTentacion, Wiz Khalifa, and more while prepping his forthcoming debut. He’s going to continue to lead in 2019 and beyond.
