This month, Denver-based artist Adiel Mitchell released his newest work, the Jungle EP, available to stream and download on all major platforms! Written by Adiel Mitchell and co-produced by Levi Double U, the project is a small departure from the nostalgic 90s sounds of his 2018 hits, “Black Dress” and “2nd Chances”. The latter was featured on the GRAMMY and NAACP Image Award nodded compilation, Big Top Entertainment‘s Already On II: The Return of R&B, released last spring.

“Following About Last Night, I really wanted to create a small package of songs that I just wanted to party with,” he said. “I felt like ALN was a real groovy project with deep lyrics but packaged with a signature pop vibe but I wanted to broaden those horizons and really follow where my inspirations and influences were taking me…Every song has its own story on how it came together and how it affects me. I purposely stepped out of my box to take some risks and see how truly free I could expose my artistry.”

Citing the influences of pop culture and social media, Adiel wrote the three song project with the new generation in mind. The title song “Jungle”, demonstrates the duality of his musical wit, clearly referencing the hype culture of modern radio hits in its first half while in it’s second module, the song reaches back into his R&B roots, spotlighting his vocal ability and aptitude as a producer.
