Kenya’s MC Sharon Taps South Sudan’s Lyricist 6ix Foot for ‘Collect’

MC Sharon the Kenyan lyrical veteran also known as Decibelle the Goddess of Sound or Alshaverb Mama Yao has just teamed up with Kenyan born South Sudanese Lyrical heavyweight 6ix Foot to drop the fourth video of off her fifth studio project GEMS.

GEMS, which stands for Genetically Emancipated Musical Soul is a 20 track album which she released on September 24th 2018 across all digital platforms including www.mcsharon.com . In case you are wondering also, Alshaverb stems from the first letters of MC Sharon’s government name Alai Sharon. The Verb thereafter is simply the doing word and in this case that would be tantamount to lyrical slaying.

Set in the Ngummo Suburbs (specifically Highview Phase 2 which is also home to 6 Foot’s Zol Ta Nas Entertainment) the placid Boom Bap jam performed on a One Tone beat is the dream song of every debt collector regardless of social status. There comes a time when enough is enough and delayed dues must be paid either in cash or in kind. This is one such depiction.

Collect also serves as an introductory transition into Black Book; the upcoming collaboration album which she has done together with 6ix Foot and which is also slated for an early 2019 release.
