Recently Chandler Parsons and the Memphis Grizzlies parted ways, and it has been reported that the Los Angeles Lakers might have some interest in acquiring Parsons’ services.

Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson recently had Fox Sports 1 analyst Jason McIntyre on the Scoop B Radio Podcast.

Most of the reports this season have been circled around the Lakers acquiring Bradley Beal or Anthony Davis, but according to McIntyre, the name he has been hearing Parsons.

“The name I’m hearing, I talked to someone this morning in Memphis, Chandler Parsons,” McIntyre told Robinson.

“He and Memphis are parting ways obviously or have parted in the last couple of days. Keep an eye on Chandler Parsons and possibly going to the Lakers. But like, cause I know, Chandler Parsons has a bad rep around the league as kind of a soft player, but he’s immensely talented.”

Earlier this month Parsons told ESPN ‘s, Adrian Wojnarowski, “I am extremely disappointed that I didn’t get to finish this season alongside my teammates and the Memphis coaching staff.

He would add:

“Unfortunately that option wasn’t presented to me.”

Through the course of his career, Parsons has averaged 13 points and four rebounds per game. He is still owed $25.1 million next season and has been battling the injury bug over throughout the past three seasons.

“And of course, you know this, he’s a phenomenal shooter,” Jason McIntyre told Scoop B Radio.

The Lakers are not the only franchise that might be interested in Parsons shooting ability, and the Grizzlies will also consider potential trade options.

“We know the Rockets are going to have interest and the Mavericks are going to have interest,” says McIntyre.

The reported reason why Memphis and Parsons decided to part ways is due to a potential G League assignment.

According to Woj:

The final disagreement that led to Parsons leaving the team and city — perhaps permanently — has been centered around the circumstances of a possible G League assignment.
