Moon Willis – Trouble

With his recent releases “Gone” ft. Levi on Rinse and warehouse banger “On Me,” rising London producer Moon Willis emerges with his first mood of 2019, cult house anthem “Trouble” out via Astralwerks.

Having spent the last 6 years grafting behind the scenes with heavyweight artists, Moon has also been busy collaborating with the next generation of talent such as Elderbrook, Avelino and Feder. With co-signs from the likes of Paul Woolford, Todd Edwards, Ishi, Disciples and Duke Dumont, Moon is cementing foundations as a serious new underground talent.

Moon has already picked up heat from tastemakers incl. TRENCH MAGAZINE and DUMMY, with similar early attention from RINSE FM, moving to BBCR1 and 1Xtra pointing to the kind of mainstream ability the young producer has in store.

Now coming with an up-tempo house banger “Trouble”, a glorious gospel vocal sample drops into a snappy instrumental with the kind of serious pedigree and innovation that should continue the intrigue the Londoner has been creating.

With the sample discovered whilst trawling through old Daptone records, it again underlines the natural, exciting ear for an unearthed gem that Moon is displaying. The young Londoner is building his case as a new light in the UK landscape, truly a one-off in his sound and style. Moon is one to watch in 2019!
