The Lakers told the Pelicans no. The Pelicans will look to move Davis over the summer through trade possibilities with the Boston Celtics. Any trade package from the Celtics would have to include Jayson Tatum, 2019 first round picks from the Memphis Grizzlies and the Sacramento Kings. Along with Celtics’ own 2021 first round pick according to Robinson.
Robinson recently had FS1 Chris Broussard on the Scoop B Radio Podcast and they discussed Boston’s chances to land Davis.
“The Celtics decide to build around Kyrie Irving or try to build around Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis. Don’t rule out the New York Knicks because I believe that’s the place Anthony would play and the Lakers are going to get in there, they’re gonna try their best to get him and, you know, they got a shot. But I think it’s going to come down to those three teams, to Boston, New York, and the Lakers.”
