sloan:sonna Share Video For Their New Single “Videogame”

Denver folk pop duo sloan:sonna have shared a music video for their new single “Videogame,” complimenting the song’s dreamy sonic architecture with delightfully retro visuals. A coming-of-age adventure story full of hilarious visual gags, the video brings out the inner quirks of the song while highlighting its triumphant, driving instrumentation at the heroic conclusion.

The first single off of their debut album All The Right Statements, “Videogame” is delicate dream pop with a refreshing lyrical cheekiness nestled gently between the soft guitars and coasting on a bed of warm synthesizers. Raised by classical singers but falling in love with pop music, Sloan met Sonna, a fierce student of voice, piano, and production, at college, where their budding relationship quickly evolved into songwriting. Marrying and moving to Auckland, New Zealand, the two began recording, which they continue to do in their new home of Denver, bonding over humorous, insightful lyrics and tender pop melodies.
