Aykay Releases Video For New Single, “Losing Time” Feat. Scuba

Texas born and raised recording artist Aykay, today releases a new video for his latest hit single “Losing Time”.

In the video, Aykay is seen enjoying his in beautiful Hollywood. He meets up with Scuba at a party, for his feature on the song. The scenic and colorful video is symbolic of the hard work Aykay has put in to get to Los Angeles, where he is set to pursue his music career.

In “Losing Time”, producer Melodeska reappears after producing Aykay’s only EP, Royalty. The uplifting flutes accompanied by complex drums and simplistic 808s, create the rappers catchiest song yet. Aykay raps about how he has been working hard lately and hustling non-stop. With new opportunities constantly coming his way, he feels like he’s “losing time,” but he loves staying busy. In the track, Aykay says, “Fell in love with pressure. Make a diamond every time.” The workload only benefits the growth of this young rapper.

Aykay was born and raised in a small town named Livingston, Texas. Growing up poor in the country, robbery, and drug trafficking were his only means of income. Around the age of 13, he started looking at music as a way out. He was one of the originators of rap collective, MGB, consisting of Ammo & Scuba and himself. They released their first mixtape MGB on the Rise in 2014. After that release, a studio robbery setback the collective and forced Aykay to join the military for financial support. Now, he is back making music with MGB like they never stopped.
